I am a collector of Droste products. Can you help me expand my collection?

We don’t own all the products that we have developed over the years. There is a lively trade on the internet however. Our advice, therefore, would be to visit sites such as Marktplaats and eBay and try to purchase unique Droste products this way.

Our own Droste collection can be viewed at the Dutch Bakkerijmuseum in Hattem and at the Droste Experience of the Woltjes bakery in Volendam.

Why is there a white coating on the chocolate?

This is most likely caused by improper handling of the chocolate during transport and/or storage. Due to relatively large changes in temperature, the cocoa butter present in the chocolate has risen to the surface and has crystalized there. This does not negatively affect the quality of the product. In fact, it is a sign that the chocolate has been produced with good quality materials. Because of the white coating, the chocolate may appear less appetizing though. Heat can influence the flavor, however.

Are the Droste products kosher?

No, Droste’s products are not kosher, except for Droste Cocoa, this product is kosher even for Pesach.

Do you produce Easter eggs?

No, for some years now, Droste has ceased the production of Easter eggs.

Are Droste’s products gluten-free?

All our products are gluten-free. Only the stracciatella may contain traces of gluten (but still contains less than the legal level).
