- 6 dl milk
- 30 g Droste cocoa powder (3 level tablespoons)
- 60 g sugar
- 20 g corn starch (2 level tablespoons)
- 1 or 2 eggs
- 2 oranges
Bring about half of the milk to the boil and in the meantime, add a mixture of the sugar, corn starch, an egg yolk and cocoa powder to the rest of the milk and stir well. Add some of the hot milk to make a liquid mixture. Pour this mixture back into the rest of the hot milk and let it boil, while stirring continuously, until it is cooked and thickened. Allow the custard to cool, while stirring from time to time. Peel the oranges, carefully remove all the white pith, cut the oranges in thin slices and arrange them on a glass platter, after having removed all the pips.
